Datacenter.com Expands in Amsterdam

Amsterdam – May 14, 2019, Datacenter.com, the data center provider for on-demand colocation services for hybrid solutions with a planned roll-out of colocation data centers in strategic markets worldwide, today announced an expansion of its Amsterdam data center. The expansion will increase Datacenter.com’s equipped space by nearly 50%, will enable the company to meet growing customer demand for high capacity and flexible colocation space and services, particularly from customers in the fast-growing digital media, gaming, enterprise and cloud computing sectors.

The expansion project will also increase the available white space power by an additional 1,5MW. This expansion will address the current and future needs of companies running cloud-based applications or virtualizes workloads that require high-power-density deployments in Amsterdam.

“Since the opening of our Amsterdam facility we have a diversified customer bases by offering low latency network connectivity combined with high capacity and flexible colocation solutions. We are happy to see new and existing clients growing rapidly to almost sell out our first phase of our Amsterdam facility within the first 12 Months”, says Jochem Steman, Chief Executive Officer of Datacenter.com. “This new capacity and the additional possibility to expand with two extra data halls with up to 10MW additional IT load will add confidence that Datacenter.com can and will accommodate our client’ growth plans.”

Datacenter.com Amsterdam site is located in the connectivity heart of Amsterdam and offers the highest level of redundancy, reliability and connectivity combined with tailor made colocation contracts. The data center accommodates a broad group of companies in a diversity of segments, such as digital media, gaming, cloud computing, network solutions, financial institutions and enterprises.

The expansion project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2019.
